On Thanksgiving Eve he arrives astride Berry (seen here) his mountain goat, all the way from the North Pole. We've been lucky to have had Elfie as our house elf for the last two years. The kids have been very good this year and they hope to see Elfie again this year. He keeps an eye on them from Thanksgiving Eve until Christmas Eve when Santa picks him up in his sleigh. He reports to Santa on a nightly basis. He has a list and is not afraid to use it. During the month of December if the kids are REALY GOOD, Elfie brings them gifts. Sometimes he's not very pleased and the gift box is empty. ooooh, ouch.

The Dashing Apple Core
Here is a model I constructed to illustrate the cover for Please Bury Me in the Library. It's built from the everyday objects: books (obviously), a champagne cork-wire-thingy chair I had sitting around (HaHa... sitting around, chair), and two apple core heads stacked on top of one another... the foot is a mustache of the bottom head.

Pirate Papa
Here's some pirate fun! This was a spread in the book "I Love My Pirate Papa" written by Laura Leuck.
Please Bury Me in the Library - Cover
So with this being my first poke at contributing to a blog I thought I go back a bit and post some book stuff I did a couple year ago. This is a book of children's poetry by J. Patrick Lewis.
